Introducing the first in a series of essential skills classes that will give you the confidence and knowledge to evolve your cooking and expand your kitchen repertoire.
Knowing your sauces is a nifty trick to have up your sleeve. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make classic sauces which can be elevated with a few simple twists to suit a huge variety of dishes.
Alongside demos from Tania, there’ll be some group and individual work with the opportunity to experiment with ingredients to complement your personal tastes and cooking style.
We’ll be making the French classics, hollandaise and béarnaise, flawless béchamel, beurre blanc, mayonnaise and a perfect tomato sauce as well as some sauces that pack a bit more punch like spicy satay, cider barbecue and Green Indian chutney.
We’ll taste and adjust along the way, finishing it all off with a knock-out chocolate fudge and zingy citrus sauce for dessert lovers.
