Modern Buttercream Cake Decorating – 11th October

Do you want to able to decorate a cake to a professional standard? In this intermediate class you will learn how to make a beautiful tall 6” buttercream drip cake- sure to wow your family and friends. With the guidance of professional cake decorator Jo Deacon, you will learn to level, fill and stack 4 layers of vanilla sponge with perfectly whipped American buttercream. You will learn the importance of chilling your cake at each stage. In between stages we will make some meringue kisses to later adorn the cake. Having watched a demonstration you will coat the cake with Swiss meringue buttercream that you have coloured to your preference. We will make a chocolate drip to complete the cake and complete it with a variety of meringue kisses, macarons, fruit and edible flowers. All equipment will be supplied for the class and you will take you cake home with you in a cake box.
