If you haven’t already heard, we’re absolutely thrilled to announce two of our beloved Pavilion products received outstanding feedback at this years Guild of Fine Foods 2022 Great Taste Awards! Our Pavilion Signature Gin scooped the highest accolade winning three stars! Being described by the Guild as “exquisite”, “beautifully balanced and blended” and “very sophisticated” – as best said by the judges “don’t leave the shop without buying it”.
Our Pavilion Classic Fish Pie also received a lot of love this year, being described as “delicious and flavoursome” with a “fantastic” grilled cheese topping. A special shout-out and congratulations to our kitchen team led by Tania, as it was one of only three fish pies to achieve two stars, officially the top-rated fish pie of 2022!
We are beyond proud with both of these achievements and can’t wait until next year!
Our cookery school classes for October and November have been released! So if you’re looking to perfect your skills in the kitchen, learn a new hobby, or for the perfect gift this Christmas, our cookery school is your answer!
Over the coming months we’ll be hosting a range of classes, some of which you might recognise like our Keralan masterclass, Perfecting Pasta and Macarons classes, as well as some new seasonal specials – such as our ‘Everything But The Turkey’ class where you can perfect the all-important Christmas accompaniments.

After months of development, tastings, and many hours of deliberation, we are delighted to have launched three new gorgeous preserves to sit alongside the ever-popular Jubilee Jam. We launched our very own preserves & marmalade back in June; Mango & Passion Fruit Preserve, Blackberry & Apple Preserve with Pavilion Special Edition Gin, and Fresh Orange & Lime Marmalade with Pavilion Signature Gin. If you’ve not yet tried them, we recommend slathering them over our giant all-butter croissants, or simply on a slice of perfectly toasted sourdough – delicious!
You may have also noticed our very own charcuterie in store! Working closely with our friends over at Bray cured we’ve created an utterly delicious Local Venison & Pork Salami, with our award-winning Pavilion Signature Gin Cure (of course!). It perfectly pairs with a G&T, a glass of chilled rose or fizz, and makes a great addition to any grazing board, a great addition to a selection of deli cheeses, antipasti and pickles.

The winner is Ava! At just 11 years old, Ava blew the judges away with her spectacular sour cherry and blackcurrant preserve with vanilla. We are so thrilled and can’t wait to get Ava’s jam lining the shelves of Pavilion. We’ll also be using this delicious jam in a host of delicious sweet treats and picnic hampers in the next couple of weeks!
Join us at Pavilion soon for a very special evening with chef, author and television personality Brian Turner.
Brian will entertain us with anecdotes from his five decades at the stove, as well as stories from his time on Ready, Steady, Cook! and a host of other top-rated TV shows. A proud Yorkshireman, Brian’s other passions include cricket and horseracing and – as President of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts – he is also hugely committed to fostering young talent in the hospitality industry. He was awarded a CBE in 2002.
Brian will talk about – and demonstrate – some of the recipes and dishes that have shaped his life in food, and guests will have the chance to sample all of them, as well as a few of Brian’s favourite tipples.
Strictly limited to 20 guests, Brian Turner: A Life In Food will be hosted by food and wine writer Bill Knott, who has known Brian for more than 25 years. The evening will finish with an informal Q&A session: over a glass or two, of course.
